Job Title:   Credit Officer        
                                          Location:   St. Catherine                                              
Type:          Permanent

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The successful candidate will work directly with clients to promote the loan products.
  • Assist clients to determine their credit needs.
  • Manage the application process and ensure prompt delivery and repayment of loans.
  • Track portfolio performance and provide periodic portfolio information.
  • Initiate client contact.
  • Interview clients to determine eligibility and repayment capacity.
  • Prepare and submit loan applications for approval.
  • Follow-up with clients to ensure prompt repayment.
  • Monitor portfolio and implement appropriate action in a timely manner when payments are late.


QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

  •  A Degree in Business Administration or appropriate discipline
  • At least 3-5 years experience in underwriting micro and small business loans

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong sales and negotiating skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Good planning and organizing skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
